Team News | Walsall v County

Phil Bardsley is set to make his Stockport County debut tonight, as he starts tonight’s League Two clash against Walsall at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

The 37-year-old is the only change from our win over Crewe on Boxing Day, as he takes the place of the injured Macauley Southam-Hales at right-wing-back.

Ben Hinchliffe makes his 299th County appearance in goal, behind that same back three of Akil Wright, Fraser Horsfall and Ryan Johnson.

Bardsley and in-form Ryan Rydel are the wing-backs tonight, with Will Collar, Ryan Croasdale and Myles Hippolyte once again forming the midfield three.

No surprises up front either, as skipper Paddy Madden once again partners Kyle Wootton up top.

Injuries to Vit Jaros, Connor Evans and Callum Camps mean a place on the bench for academy graduate Keane Barugh tonight, whilst Joe Lewis returns from injury and is also named as a substitute.

Starting XI: Hinchliffe; Wright; Horsfall; Johnson; Bardsley; Collar; Croasdale; Hippolyte; Rydel; Madden; Wootton.
Bench: Jones; Sarcevic; Crankshaw; Brown; Barugh; MacDonald; Lewis.
