October home fixtures on sale this week

Tickets for our four home fixtures in League One next month are set to go on general sale from 12.30pm on Wednesday 11th September.

In a busy month for Dave Challinor’s side, four of our seven league fixtures in October will be played at Edgeley Park, starting with a tasty local clash with Wigan Athletic on Saturday 5th October, 3pm KO. It will be our first league meeting with the Latics since 2003, when an Andy Welsh goal helped us to a 1-1 draw in SK3.

A week later we then take on Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 12th October, 3pm KO. The Chairboys have finished in the top half of League One in each of the last three seasons and will provide stern opposition for Dave Challinor’s side.

Our first Edgeley Park night under the lights in League One this season comes on Tuesday 22nd October, as we take on Northampton Town in a 7.45pm KO. The two sides went head-to-head for promotion in 2023, and the Cobblers recorded a 14th place finish in League One last season.

We then round off the month with our rearranged home game against Reading. We were originally due to take on the Royals last weekend, but the game was called off due to international call-ups and has been rearranged for Tuesday 29th October, 7.45pm KO.

All four games next month have been designated as Category B fixtures, with tickets available to purchase online, over the phone on 0161 266 2700 and in person from the Edgeley Park Ticket Office.

With crowds selling out on a regular basis last season and a record number of season tickets having been sold, we advise purchasing online in advance where possible to avoid disappointment.

Our home games in October and November are categorised as follows:

05.10.24 – County v Wigan Athletic – Category B
12.10.24 – County v Wycombe Wanderers – Category B
22.10.24 – County v Northampton Town – Category B
29.10.24 – County v Reading – Category B
