We have two special guests set to join us for this weekend’s game against Bristol Rovers at Edgeley Park, with hospitality bookings in the 1883 available online now!
After two wins from two, County go into Saturday as the early leaders in League One, looking to continue our perfect start to the league campaign back at a packed Edgeley Park.
Joining us in SK3 on the day will be Captain Fantastic himself, Mike Flynn. Flynny captained County through a golden era in the 1990s, spending ten seasons at Edgeley Park and making 460 appearances for the Club – placing him fourth in the all-time County appearance list.
He was an integral part of our famous 1996/97 side that won promotion to the Championship under Dave Jones, as well as reaching the semi-final of the Coca Cola Cup that same year. Mike remains one of the greatest defenders ever to pull on the Blue & White shirt, and we are delighted to be welcoming him back as our guest on Saturday.
Also in attendance on the day will be friend of the Club and former Scotland International, Brian McClair. The 60-year-old enjoyed an incredible playing career at the top level for the likes of Celtic, Motherwell and Manchester United, and in recent years has taken a keen interest in his local Club.
Over the Summer, Brian contacted Club President Steve Bellis to purchase two season tickets at Edgeley Park, which he has kindly committed to donating every week to County supporters who may otherwise not be able to attend the game. This has already been put to good use for our first two home games of the campaign.
