Match Officials | Everton U21s (H)

Paul Marsden has been confirmed as the match referee for Tuesday night’s Bristol Street Motors Trophy tie between County and Everton U21s at Edgeley Park.

Marsden will be a familiar face to County fans, having refereed us on 12 previous occasions during our time in non-league – first doing so in a 2-2 draw with Gloucester City on October 2013. The last time he refereed a game involving County came in March 2022, as he oversaw our 3-0 win over Notts County at Edgeley Park.

The official took charge of 13 first-team fixtures last season, covering the National League and Emirates FA Cup. In that time, he issued 66 yellow cards, one red card and awarded two penalties.

So far this campaign, he has refereed five first-team games across League Two, the National League and the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, so far issuing 30 yellow cards, one red card and awarding one penalty kick. Most recently, he oversaw Forest Green Rovers’ 1-0 victory away at Solihull Moors in the National League.

The Assistant Referees on Tuesday night will be Richard Wigglesworth and Timothy Walker, whilst Jake Topp will be the Fourth Official.
