Referee Ross Joyce will take charge of Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup First Round tie between County and Blackburn Rovers at Edgeley Park.
The official has refereed County on nine previous occasions, first doing so in September 2011 in a 4-2 home defeat to Fleetwood Town in non-league. Most recently, he oversaw our 2-0 win over Forest Green Rovers at Edgeley Park last October.
Joyce took charge of 37 games across all competitions last season, covering League One, League Two and the Bristol Street Motors Trophy. During that time, he issued 161 yellow cards, nine red cards and awarded four penalties.
On the opening day of the season, he took charge of Doncaster Rover’s 4-1 win over Accrington Stanley in League Two.
The Assistant Referees on Tuesday night will be Alistair Nelson and Thomas Harty, whilst James Oldham will be the Fourth Official.
