Match Officials confirmed | Crawley Town (A)

James Linington has been confirmed as the match referee for Saturday’s League One fixture between County and Crawley Town at Broadfield Stadium.

The official refereed County for the one and only other occasion back in February 2009, when he oversaw our 1-0 defeat away at Colchester United in League One. He last took charge of a fixture involving Crawley in December 2020 – a 2-1 win away at Forest Green Rovers in League Two.

An experienced referee, Linington took charge of 23 games across all competitions last season, 19 of which came in the Championship. In that time, he issued 104 yellow cards, one red card and awarded seven penalties.

He has refereed two games so far this season, one in the National League and one in the Carabao Cup, most recently overseeing AFC Wimbledon’s penalty shoot-out win over Premier League side, Ipswich Town.

The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Alex James and Lee Venamore, whilst James Cartmel will be the Fourth Official.
