Match Officials | Barnsley (A)

The match officials for Saturday night’s game between County and Barnsley in League One have been confirmed, with referee Declan Bourne set to take charge of the game at Oakwell, live on Sky Sports.

The official has refereed County five times previously, first doing so in the National League North for our 1-0 win away at Gloucester City in December 2016. More recently, he oversaw our 3-1 win away at Salford City in last season’s Bristol Street Motors Trophy campaign.

He also took charge of two Barnsley games in 2023/24, in charge for their 2-1 win at Fleetwood Town in February, as well as a 2-1 defeat at Stevenage back in April.

In total, Bourne oversaw 22 games in all competitions last season, covering League One, League Two, the Emirates FA Cup and the Bristol Street Motors Trophy. In that time, he issued a total of 92 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded four penalties.

He has already taken charge of six first-team fixtures so far this season, as well as a Premier League 2 fixture between Arsenal and Manchester United. So far, he has shown 29 yellows, two reds and awarded one penalty kick. His most recent game came in League Two on Saturday, refereeing Salford City’s 2-0 win away at Walsall.

The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Declan Ford and Daniel Robinson, whilst William Davis will be on Fourth Official duties at Oakwell.
