Louie Barry’s brilliant start to the season continued this weekend, as the forward picked up yet another award after being named as the EA Sports FC EFL Young Player of the Month for August.
Louie becomes just the fourth player ever to win the award twice, having also picked up the trophy last September during his first loan spell at Edgeley Park. He is in esteemed company having done the double, joining Djed Spence, Ayoub Assal and Fabio Carvalho, whilst his performances also saw him named as the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month.
Back for a second spell with the Club after excelling last season, Louie stormed out of the traps in August, scoring an outrageous 40-yard lob with his first touch of the campaign against Cambridge United on the opening day.
He added two further stunning strikes that month, against Blackpool and Bristol Rovers, to help County end August top of League One with ten points from a possible 12.
