Our Carabao Cup first round tie against Championship outfit, Blackburn Rovers will take place on Tuesday 13th August, in a 7.30pm kick-off at Edgeley Park.
All Carabao Cup ties this season are set to be televised live on Sky Sports, with our game against Rovers available to watch on Sky Sports+. Audio commentary for the game will also be available on Stockport County Live.
It will be the first time the two sides have met in this competition since County’s famous 1-0 win at Ewood Park back in 1996/97, as a Tim Sherwood own-goal saw us knock out the then-Premier League side en route to the semi-finals that year.
The tie will be decided on the night, with a penalty shootout taking place if the scores are level after 90 minutes.
