We are pleased to be supporting local charity, Beechwood Cancer Care at Edgeley Park on Saturday, to carry out a bucket collection ahead of our game against Bristol Rovers in League One.
Beechwood Cancer Care offers support to those living with cancer, as well as their relatives and carers in and around Stockport and the local area.
They first began offering cancer care back in 1990 and since then, their centre based in Stockport has helped many local people.
Beechwood understands the impact that cancer has on patients, their families and carers’. They offer a wide range of support for all those affected by cancer, including:
- One-to-one counselling sessions
- Complementary therapies
- Group sessions with other clients/carers
They can help with every stage of illness, and their centre visitors include those who have just been diagnosed and need a listening ear, people at different stages of treatment and those ready to move on following treatment.
