County Partner With The Retreat Clinics For Sensory Items

Stockport County is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Retreat Clinics. This collaboration will provide the club with essential sensory items for our supporters, while also supporting a valuable community organisation.

The Retreat Clinics will now supply all sensory items to Stockport County, saving the Club significant funds, with the partnership aligning perfectly with our County Collective initiative.

The Retreat Clinics is a local mental health charity based in Withington, Manchester and has been providing mental health support for over 200 years. The charity understands that everyone’s mental health is different, offering tailored therapy and counselling support that is personalised to the individual needs of adults, children, and young people, as well as neurodevelopmental assessments and post-diagnostic support.

This partnership is a win-win for both Stockport County and The Retreat Clinics. By working together, we can provide a better experience for our supporters and contribute to the well-being of our community.

To access one of our sensory packs on a matchday, please speak to one of our Here To Help team at Edgeley Park, or contact your nearest steward. Supporters can also request one through our in-game text messaging service – simply message 60777, starting your text with SCFC.

Olivia Hanvey, Commercial Director of Stockport County said:

“We’re delighted to form this partnership with The Retreat Clinics. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our County Collective initiative to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for our supporters. By providing sensory items, we hope to enhance the matchday experience for those who may need them.”

Rebecca Kinnear, Head of Service for Manchester Psychological Therapy Services from The Retreat Clinics said:

“We are delighted to partner with Stockport County FC through donating items for their sensory room. As a charity that supports individuals with mental health and neurodiversity, we understand the importance of having access to calm areas and sensory items when things feel overwhelming and hope that this partnership will help to support the local community.”
