The Club will be hosting an Emerging Talent Group trial for players aged 18-21, the trial is suitable for players who have been released by their club, or who have played non league football to a good standard.
This season Lewis Earl, Ethan Pye and Millenic Alli were all part of our Emerging Talents programme, which used the suspension of non-elite leagues last season as an opportunity to scout local talent. Players identified by the scouting team were invited to join bespoke training led by Damian Allen and his Academy coaches. The best performing players from this group joined in with 1st team squad and fringe players to form a ‘B’ team, which trained together and played friendly fixtures against clubs such as Huddersfield, Bradford, Oldham, Salford and Accrington.
The trial will take place at Stockport Sports Village on Wednesday May 25th, 10am – 3pm.
