2023/24 fixtures revealed!

Our Sky Bet League Two fixtures for the 2023/24 season have now been revealed…

For the third consecutive season, County will kick-start the campaign with a home game as we take on Gillingham at Edgeley Park, on Saturday 5th August.

Our first away game will see us travel to Walsall the following weekend, before a home game under the lights against Bradford City on Tuesday 15th August.

Our final home game of the season sees us take on Accrington Stanley on Saturday 20th April, before wrapping up the campaign a week later, away at newly promoted Wrexham AFC on Saturday 27th April.

Please note that all fixtures are subject to change at a later date.

What about the festive fixtures?

In a busy festive schedule, County will take on Notts County at Edgeley Park on Saturday 23rd December, before travelling north on Boxing Day to take on Pete Wild’s Barrow AFC.

Our final game of 2023 sees us travel to Bradford on Friday 29th December, before hosting Mansfield Town at Edgeley Park on New Year’s Day.

Who’s new next season?

Wrexham and Notts County were the sides promoted from the National League last season, with both sides finishing the campaign on over 100 points. County will host Wrexham at Edgeley Park on Saturday 23rd September, before that final day meeting at the StoK Racecourse stadium on Saturday 27th April. As mentioned, our home game against Notts falls just before Christmas, on Saturday 23rd December, whilst we travel to Meadow Lane early in the new year, on Saturday 20th January 2024.

Forest Green Rovers, Morecambe, Accrington Stanley and MK Dons were the four sides who dropped down from League One last season. The first of those sides we face comes when we travel to MK Dons on Saturday 16th September, our first trip to Stadium MK since Boxing Day 2009. The return fixture between the two sides will be on Saturday 23rd March.

We are set to make the short trip to Accrington on Saturday 30th September, before hosting them in our final home game of the season on Saturday 20th April. Forest Green, champions of League Two just a year ago, will visit Edgeley Park on Saturday 3rd October, whilst our visit to The New Lawn Stadium on Easter Friday, 29th March.

We face Morecambe at the Mazuma Stadium on Saturday 9th December, before taking them on at Edgeley Park at the back end of the season, on Saturday 13th April.

When are our local games?

County faced Salford City four times last season, and we are already set to meet again having been drawn in the same EFL Trophy group for next season. Our first league meeting against the Ammies next season comes on Tuesday 28th November at Edgeley Park, before the return fixture at the Peninsula Stadium on Tuesday 12th March.

Our games against Cheshire rivals Crewe Alexandra also fall on Tuesday nights, as we travel to the Mornflake Stadium on Tuesday 24th October before welcoming the Railway Men to Edgeley Park on Tuesday 13th February.
